Loved Toto since their debut self titled LP in 1978 with 'All Us Boys", "St. George & the Dragon", "Girl Goodbye", "I'll Supply the Love", "Taking it Back", "Hold the Line", "Lorraine", "99", "White Sister" and more. The whole album is very versatile (Rock, Prog, Pop, Soul). My god, 1978 High School 10th grade... great times being a young man. This music is timeless. ❤

I was in college when this came out. I remember dancing to it in the clubs. A year later, I was on active duty in the USAF, and they were still playing it in the clubs on base. Hearing it now lets me take a trip in the way back machine. They just don't write 'em like this anymore.

Another 1982 America song "Inspector Mills" from View from the Ground was a hit in the Philippines. Until now it still plays on the radio and I heard it last time.

That's why the Ambrosia song sounded so familiar. I forgot all about this original. Amazing since I remember singing this song along with the radio in my car.

Damn... when this song was released I was 10 years old, during my teenage years late 80s early 90s I revisited the song and the lyrics had a little meaning to me at that time, around 94, ten years after its release... Now, 40 years later, with 50 years on my back, after living good times, bad times, with family and friends that had gone, watching my parents older and tired... Realising that I'm closer to the end... the part of the song that hurts deep and make me think about my life, where I'm know, how many dreams were left behind, is this one "It's so hard to get old without a cause I don't want to perish like a fading horse Youth's like diamonds in the Sun And diamonds are forever"
